Paying suppliers in Oman
The Omani rial (OMR) is a currency you can hold, so suppliers in Oman can be paid in rials by SWIFT from an OMR balance. The rial is pegged to the US dollar by the Central Bank of Oman. It is divided into 1,000 baisa, so amounts carry three decimal places.
Omani accounts use a 23-character IBAN starting OM: a 3-digit bank code and a 16-character account number. Omani banks close on Friday and Saturday.
