Algeria does not use the IBAN
Payments to Algerian accounts use the 20-digit RIB together with the bank’s SWIFT/BIC code.

- Does Algeria use IBAN?
- No. Algeria has not adopted the IBAN. Accounts are identified by the 20-digit RIB (relevé d’identité bancaire), sent with the bank’s SWIFT/BIC code.
- My supplier sent an “IBAN” starting with DZ. Is it valid?
- Not as an IBAN: DZ is not an IBAN country. Ask for the 20-digit RIB and the bank’s SWIFT code, and put the RIB in the account-number field of the payment.
